Following the rolling hills from dusk till dawn, after one lay the promise of another. Each attempt in seeing it come closer and closer but remaining unreachable. Meeting with the unstoppable desire to try again and keep moving to go a little further.
Accompanying the humming recitations of mantras this series enfolds around how meeting with the mountains and their role in some of the most colossal earth sounds in the non-audible infrasound domain interacts with our sense of place. Mountains do have their own language compressed time, earthly frequencies. How do the nomadic communities resonate with the rapidly changing climate of the plateau fed by ancient glaciers. By using the local mantras/ the vibration of vocal sound as an instrument I am able to do a more profound investigation into these folds and ripples by which local communities fall into place.
